Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect on my first visit?

Your first visit is a very informational visit. Before you come in, or when you arrive at the office, you’ll need to fill out some paperwork for our office. You will sit down with the doctor and go over everything that’s bothering you, and talk about any activities that it might be affecting. A complete exam will be done, and if necessary, X-rays will be performed in the office. Your first visit will typically take 30-45 min.

Will I get adjusted on the first visit?

Typically, you will be adjusted when you come on your second visit after you receive your Report of Findings.  In order for you to get the proper diagnosis, and get the proper treatment, the Doctor will need to take some time to look at your case before they perform any treatment. There are always exceptions, and in cases of emergency, care may be provided on the first day.

How fast will my pain go away?

There is no crystal ball that will tell you how fast your pain will go away. Depending on the injury, how long the pain has been present, and the health of your spine, there can be a wide range of time that your specific condition could take to heal.

Initially, you might have to be seen on a more frequent basis, depending on the severity of your injury and what goals you are trying to accomplish with your health. During your report, the Doctor will give you their recommendation on the treatment frequency that will be necessary in order to best treat your specific condition.

After my pain goes away, will it come back?

Without correcting the actual problem causing your pain, your pain will likely return. The Chiropractic Biophysics ® techniques used in our office address those spinal problems and returns your spine to as close to normal or ideal as possible. Correcting your spine keeps you pain free and functioning again for longer periods of time.

Do Chiropractors only treat back pain?

Chiropractors typically treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions, i.e. back pain, neck pain, and strains/sprains. Most patients who are under care at this office start to notice their pain and discomfort start to decrease, as their spine begins to align. They will notice other conditions start to get better as well.

How long does a typical appointment take?

A full therapy appointment typically takes around 15-30 minutes depending on the specific therapies performed.

For people who are not under full therapy and just receiving an adjustment, you can expect your appointment to be around 5-10 minutes.

Will I have to keep coming back forever?

Your health is YOUR health. If you find the care in this office to be beneficial to you, you can maintain a regular schedule to stay adjusted.
